30 x 30 goal

Picture

Would you like to help conserve 30 percent of Virginia’s lands and waters by 2030?
Known as the “30 x 30 Goal,” this worldwide initiative will help reverse climate change, protect our declining natural resources and ensure clean air and water for future generations.
It’s a challenge of a size and scope that will require everyone to pitch in. And it will require bold action by groups like your local land conservancy to save more of our community’s lands and waters than ever before. We’re only about halfway there—as of 2018, only about 16 percent of Virginia’s land was conserved.
That’s why the Blue Ridge Land Conservancy is asking for your help. We can’t do this alone.

Can you commit just $30 to be a part of this global push, and help save 30 percent of our region’s most important lands and waters by 2030?

Your local land conservancy works with our farmers and rural landowners every day to help them protect their land with voluntary, permanent conservation agreements. Your tax-deductible donation to the Blue Ridge Land Conservancy will help save more of the places you love, right here in our community. It will help conserve local working farms, protect important timberlands, safeguard wildlife habitat, make sure we have places to hunt and fish, keep our rivers and streams clean and preserve our scenic views.

Thank you for helping make this dream a reality!

Make your tax-deductible, $30 gift today to save 30 percent of our community’s most important natural lands by 2030.

On behalf of the mountains, forests, and fields we call home, thank you!

"We abuse land because we see it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.”
